RITUALS ASSOCIATED WITH MANY TRIBAL GROUPS WHO ADDRESS THE AFTER LIFE BY MEANS OF COLLECTING AND DECORATING THE HUMAN REMAINS OF NOT ONLY THEIR LOVED ONES, BUT ALSO THEIR ENEMIES. AN EXTRAORDINARY COLLECTION OF ARTIFACTS ORIGINATING FROM VARIOUS COUNTRIES INCLUDING NEPAL, BURMA, BORNEO, NAGALAND, TIBET, AND THE PHILIPPINES HAVE BEEN CROSS REFERENCED AND PRESENTED WITH HISTORIC ARCHIVAL PHOTOGRAPHS FROM SEVERAL PROMINENT INSTITUTIONS INCLUDING: THE AMERICAN MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY, THE SMITHSONIAN INSTITUTION, AND THE FIELD MUSEUM. THIS PRESENTATION LEAVES AN INDELIBLE IMAGE ON ONE'S MEMORY. THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF AFRICAN AND OCEANIC ARTS IN PARIS MOUNTED A SIMILAR EXHIBITION IN 2000, HOWEVER THIS ABOUT THEIR PERCEPTIONS AND SOUL SEARCHING JOURNEY THROUGH THIS EXTRAORDINARY PRESENTATION.
